Pratt & Gelsthorpe Peugeot in Newark have received a prestigious award from Peugeot themselves, 102 years after they first started trading.

Despite all of the restrictions imposed on the business during the pandemic, Pratt & Gelsthorpe are one of only 25 recipients to have been awarded a Guild of Peugeot Gold Lion Retailer 2020 award.

Pratt & Gelsthorpe came 7th out of 180 dealerships in the country, measured on a number of performance criteria, including new car sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Richard Gelsthorpe, Managing Director, said: "We're delighted to have received this award. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team during a very challenging year for all businesses.

To be able to maintain our performance and high levels of customer service throughout a pandemic is something I'm very proud of.

I would like to thank all of the team for their contribution in making this happen and our loyal customers for continuing to support us whilst being flexible with the restrictions imposed upon us."

First established in 1919 by Mr Frank Pratt and Mr Bert Gelsthorpe, the car dealership celebrated their 100-year-anniversary in 2019, marking a century since they began trading in Newark.

Richard Gelsthorpe and his sister Clare Gelsthorpe are the third generation of the Gelsthorpe family who have worked hard to ensure success for the business.

Pratt & Gelsthorpe can be located on Balderton Gate, Newark. You can get in touch with the Peugeot dealership or learn more about their services via their website.
